My friend Carlene linked to my post about the President’s speech and I just wanted to thank her. It’s been a while since I’ve blogged consistently enough to warrant anyone linking to me. It’s also worth checking out her post and her perspective as her fiance, (my best friend) Ian is a school teacher and had to deal with these loonies up front from day one. It’s worth reading the rest of her blog too, as it’s very well written and entertaining.

On the topic of blogs, if you read Spanish, my housemate Maria Paz, is blogging about her adventures here in the United States.

My friend Jess is spending the summer working at the Hawai’i Volcano Observatory helping with a geological survey of Mauna Loa. She is an entertaining writer and an excellent photographer and fortunately for those of us who are not able to directly share in her adventures, she is blogging about her experience working on the world’s largest and most active volcano. I recommend giving her a read.
